Thinking about enrolling your child in summer camp? They’ll love it! The overnight summer camp experience offers fun and memories, everlasting friendships, a connection to nature, and building independence and self-reliance. If you’re looking for the best summer camp in New Hampshire, look no further than Camp Quinebarge.

Who are We?

Camp Quinebarge is New Hampshire’s best overnight summer camp, focusing on fun and friendships for boys and girls ages 6-16. Since 1936, we’ve been providing an unforgettable experience to our campers with classic activities like archery, canoeing, arts and crafts, and more. Many of our highly qualified counselors and staff members are second-generation, and we like to think of our community as an extended family!

While we offer a wide range of sports and academic activities, what makes Quinebarge invaluable for kids is the connections they make and the passions they discover during their time here.

Why Overnight Camp?

At most camps, campers are given a schedule that outlines which activities to partake in at specific times throughout the day. Many times, to make the most of each day at day camps, schedules are packed. This gives campers less freedom to make their own decisions and to bond with their peers in a natural, calm environment.

Attending overnight camp helps campers build a number of invaluable life skills, like decision-making, time management, and working with others, to name just a few. Overnight camp builds confidence and independence. In addition to practicing skills they can carry throughout their lives, the friendships and memories made during overnight camp are unlike any other.

Discovering interests, engaging in different activities, and living with other campers also help kids learn about different cultures and lifestyles. Activities at Quinebarge like hiking, chatting in the dining hall, talking around a fire, singing camp songs, and roasting marshmallows have helped create tradition and community for overnight campers. Quinebarge is a home away from home!

A Look at Our Program

From 9 am – 1 pm and 4 – 5:30 pm each day, campers participate in activities they select each week. Activities are all co-ed, and a majority of the activity schedules are determined according to individual camper choices.

Horseback Riding

Horseback riding lessons are available daily under the supervision of our qualified instructors. After campers have learned to care for their horses and to demonstrate proficiency in the ring, trail rides on our extensive trail network offer an extra challenge.

Arts & Crafts, Ceramics, Wood Shop, and Drama

We offer campers unlimited creative possibilities. We specialize in both traditional and eco-friendly handicraft activities, challenging campers to create projects they will take home and remember their camp experience all year long.

Sports and Adventure

Archery, tennis on our clay courts, a climbing wall, low and high ropes, zip line, and every field sport imaginable are offered in our sports and adventure program. Quinebarge offers possibly the world’s most difficult frisbee golf course in the woods, Gaga, volleyball, basketball, street hockey, softball, kickball, Quidditch, soccer, lacrosse, non-competitive games, and much more.  Our climbing wall and adventure courses promote teamwork and cooperation.

Swimming and Boating

Our swim program offers daily swim lessons in accordance with American Red Cross standards and we have all-camp general swim each afternoon. Quinebarge offers tubing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboards, surf bikes, Playaks, and many other types of boats to enable kids to get out on our beautiful lake, learn how to use many types of boats, and have a great, refreshing time.

Nature

Quinebarge’s 70 acres of woods, waterfront, and trails offer a ready-made outdoor environmental activity center. We make tasty banana bread in our solar cookers, take trail hikes, geocache, and create eco projects, learning about our natural world.

Trips

New Hampshire’s Lakes and Mountains regions are in our backyard and we utilize them extensively all summer, sending trips out almost daily including canoeing, hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, mountain biking, and white water rafting trips, offering campers the challenge of the outdoors. Both day and overnight trips are included. The White Mountain region of New Hampshire offers an excellent variety of rivers and trails for all abilities.
